Mitsubishi Split Ductless Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps

The Mitsubishi Split Ductless Air Conditioner offers you comfort in places you never knew could be comfortable. Split ductless is ideal for homes where there is no existing ductwork (such as heritage homes or homes with boiler systems). You can also supplement your existing central air conditioner with a split ductless system for areas where you have hot spots (like upstairs bedrooms) thus providing cooling comfort throughout the home.

Some of these models of split Ductless can do more than just cooling they can also provide heating.  Ductless units that provide both heating and cooling are called Heat Pumps.

Unfortunately heat pumps do not replace your existing furnace at this time but they can supplement your furnace providing heat during the transition period (fall, spring) when it isn’t too cold outside (mild winter days).

On extremely cold days you will still need your furnace but you will operate your furnace much less frequently (saving up to 80% of your fossil fuel burning for the year which has a big impact on the environment and your carbon footprint reduction).

Mitsubishi Split Ductless AC system offers you:

  • Comfort where you want it in your home – Zoned Comfort
  • Optional Smart Home Features gives you control in your hands (compatible controls can work with Google assistant and Amazon Alexa)
  • Individually Control up to 8 zones per outdoor unit (Zoned Comfort)
  • Quieter and more Efficient than most standard older air conditioners
  • Models available in cooling only or the greener Heat Pump option

Why Choose Mitsubishi?

There are many reasons we chose Mitsubishi over all the other brands of split ductless air conditioning systems.

Here are just a few reasons:

  • Longevity: Mitsubishi has been around for more than 30 years with a solid track record for performance. They aren’t a new company just starting out without that established history for reliability.
  • Reputation: Since 1980 Mitsubishi Electric (makers of the Mitsubishi split ductless units) has been known for quality. It is a name that is easily recognized.
  • Availability: Parts & Manufacturer Support are available locally in Ottawa meaning that standard parts can be obtained when they are actually needed and not special ordered waiting for weeks or months for the parts to arrive from out of the country. Availability is a huge consideration when selecting which manufacturers products to consider.
  • Ease of installation: Although like all air conditioners it does take special licensing to perform these installations, the manufacturer builds these units so that they not only operate easily but they are easier to install and perform services on (saving the homeowner labour hours).
  • Warranties: No hoops to jump through warranties! Extended warranties are also available for these units giving the homeowner that peace of mind that comes with having equipment work when you need it to work and easy full coverage for those incidents where repairs may be needed down the road.
  • Multiple Filters: All indoor units use a sophisticated multi-part filtration system to reduce contaminants such as allergens, viruses, and bacteria from the air. This combination of filters provides a healthier breathing environment for the home.
  • Quieter: The indoor unit can operate as low as 18dB – that’s quieter than a human whisper. The outdoor unit is also typically much quieter than a traditional central air conditioner.
