In January, as part of our ongoing Gold Plan community give-back initiative, we were honored to donate $1,797 to the Care Centre Ottawa. This contribution supports the center’s efforts to provide vital assistance and resources for those in need. We remain committed to uplifting the Care Centre Ottawa in their mission and look forward to future opportunities to make a difference in our community.
In December, as part of our Gold Plan community give-back initiative, we proudly donated $500 to the Care Centre Ottawa. This contribution represents our commitment to supporting local organizations that provide essential services to those in need. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Care Centre Ottawa and look forward to continuing our support for meaningful causes in our community.
This November, Francis Plumbing proudly donated $1,646 to the Barrhaven Food Cupboard as part of our Community Gold Giveback initiative. The Barrhaven Food Cupboard is a 100% volunteer-run organization providing vital food assistance to hundreds of families in need every month. We’re honored to support their incredible work in making a difference for our community. 💛
Josh from the Francis Plumbing team proudly presented a $1,555 check to the Heron Emergency Food Centre (HEFC). HEFC provides a seven-day emergency food supply to food-insecure households in Ottawa neighborhoods like Alta Vista, Heron Park, and Riverside Park. Supported by the Ottawa Food Bank, the City of Ottawa, and generous local contributions, HEFC serves over 20,000 people annually. Thank you to everyone who makes our Gold Give Back possible!
On September 11th, the Francis Plumbing team was on location at the Canadian Golf & Country Club, participating in the BDC | CAF Ottawa Annual Charity Golf Tournament 2024. We proudly donated $1,455 to support vital causes, including Educational Bursaries, Mental Health & Life Enrichment, and Youth Transitioning out of Foster Care. We're honored to contribute to these impactful programs! 💛
At Francis Plumbing, we're committed to making a positive impact in our community. This August, we were honored to present a donation of $1,445 to YouTurn, a vital youth support service. The donation was made during the "Harvest: Feast of Fall 2024" event. Our very own Don had the pleasure of handing over the cheque to Heather from the Community Support Team at YouTurn. We're proud to contribute to the important work they do in helping young people in our community find hope, support, and a brighter future. Together, we're building a stronger community—one donation at a time.
Our annual music Jamboree happens at Sandy Mountain Campsite, this is an event where we bring in local Ottawa Valley musicians whom donate their time and talent, we run a live and silent auction and run games to help us raise funds for Cancer. The last four events have allowed us to donate over $40,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society.
April's Gold Community Give Back spotlight! This month, we supported the Russell Ladies Night event, themed "Mardi Gras - Dancing in the Streets." This festive event not only brought our community together but also supported the Russell Agricultural Society and Naomi's House. We are delighted to share that a donation of $1,271.00 was contributed to enhance these wonderful initiatives. A big thank you to Julie Boszormeny from Francis Plumbing & Heating for presenting the cheque to Judy McFaul, an enthusiastic committee member. Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this event, helping to make a difference in our community!
This month, we're excited to announce our donation of $1200 to the Hockey for Heart Tournament, hosted by the Heart & Stroke Foundation at the Ottawa Sensplex. The event unites our community through hockey, offering everyone a chance to support heart disease and stroke research. This month’s gold community giveaway is going to the “Do it for Daron” foundation (DIFD at The Royal).
DIFD supports education, awareness, and research initiatives at the Royal that encourage young people to talk openly about mental illness. Let’s Keep the conversation going!

Our January Francis Give Back recipient was the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation. This month’s recipient was chosen by one of our plumbers, Mike Cheslock. The Arnprior Regional Health Foundation works with the community to help support the local hospital, nursing home and community programs to deliver excellent care, services, treatment, screening and diagnostics. Tim Mahoney from Francis Plumbing Heating & Cooling made it to the BGC Ottawa to present a cheque from our organization. It's a new program to us, but we're committed to doing it every month, and helping it grow. There are so many great, deserving charities and causes in Ottawa, and we're happy to play a small part supporting them.

Team members Marie and Paige were visited by delegates from the Sit With Me group; some of them with paws! They were there to receive a cheque from us to help their noble mission of sheltering local dogs in need.
